Why the 7-Day Window Matters
Most Messenger bots miss this. We spent 11 submissions to get it approved.
Meta's default Messenger policy locks outbound messages after 24 hours. For most platforms, that means team members can't reply to a conversation that started yesterday, unless they send a template or sponsored message. In practice, inboxes fill up with "I can't reply, the window closed" workarounds.
Meta offers a solution called the HUMAN_AGENT tag that extends the team-reply window from 24 hours to a full 7 days, but it requires direct approval. Meta rejected our first 10 submissions. We got approved on submission 11 and now the tag is live on every ChatGenius account.
