Our Story

SumGeniusAI started in 2025. Two friends from Las Vegas who met back in high school. We didn't raise money or chase a trend. We built it around day jobs, nights and weekends, because we kept seeing the same thing: small businesses deserve the same automation big companies pay a fortune for, and almost nobody was building it for them.

The tools that claimed to help were priced for enterprises, a pain to set up, or impossible to reach a human at when something broke. Founders and creators were drowning in DMs and missed messages, and the "solutions" treated them like a ticket number.

So we built the opposite. ChatGenius handles the DMs, comments, and messages across Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, SMS, and Telegram. Our Voice Agents answer the phone. And it's priced so a one-person business can actually afford it, not just venture-backed teams.

Here's what we actually believe: AI should take the repetitive work off your plate so you can do the part only you can do. It should never pretend to be more than it is. And when you need help, a real person (usually one of us) should answer. That last part isn't a feature. It's the whole point.

Meet the Founders

Jared Rice

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Jared is the technical half. Self-taught, from graphic design and video as a kid to writing the code that runs ChatGenius today. Before this he rose to senior account manager at an AI appliance-repair startup in under a year, running partnerships with brands like GE and Samsung. He still writes most of the code and answers a lot of the support himself.

Kyce Hanna

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Kyce is the people half. With a background in real estate, he handles the parts of the business that aren't code: talking to customers, onboarding new businesses, and making sure the people using ChatGenius actually get the help they need.
